This tour is a rider's dream. Designed with the experienced rider in mind, we cover more miles than the other tours and at a faster pace. The route is selected with the "grin factor" of the road the primary concern.

Fortunately, some of these roads just happen to pass through red-rock landscape such as Bedrock to Moab. Or the magical rock formations of Bryce and Zion National Parks. The road from Boulder to Escalante is one of the finest anywhere - on that stretch you won't even care about the scenery!

Down the "Grand Staircase" with a stop at the north Rim of the Grand Canyon, then down into Monument Valley for a taste of Old Western Movie scenery.

Now that you've enjoyed thousands of curves through the canyons, we'll head up into the mountains! You'll spend a night in Durango where you can enjoy the historic downtown district with its 1880's saloons complete with honky-tonk piano. Then we're off to the high elevations and thrilling curves that you'll find on the backroads of Colorado.

The same factor that treats us to the changing colors of fall also can bring some interesting weather in mid-September, so from this point each day we have a "high road" and a "low road". Our lodging is in the mountain valleys at lower elevations, so if a storm front moves in, we'll take the low road. Hopefully (as in years past) the weather will be perfect and we'll take the high road every day. The low road is also usually shorter and is a daily option.

We'll spend a night in mountain cabins in Redstone. Then a ride over Independence Pass, then up to Fairplay for the last night of the tour. A nice cruise over Hoosier Pass and Loveland Pass at noon along a route with hundreds more curves to the front range of the Rockies, the Peak to Peak Highway and ending in Longmont.

The Canyon Roads Tour

Prices for 12 day Canyon Roads tours are $3250.00 for single with private room and $3495.00 for a couple.

Budget tour price:  $1995.00.  Single with private room or couple. We still provide the same quality lodging, professional tour guide, daily routes sheets, maps and all the other details that make a great tour.  You carry your own luggage and pay for your meals (breakfast is provided at several of our hotels).  Casual wear is acceptable everywhere we go so you don't need to carry much.  Laundry facilities are also available en route. There is a large savings by not incurring costs of chase vehicle and driver expenses.  Dates can be more flexible with these tours.  If you have several riders, give us a call with your request.

We'll also be glad to write up a custom itinerary for you, setting it up on the dates you'd like and recommending the best possible routes - you decide how and were you want your tour to run.

We also occasionally run economy tours which include guide (I love to get out and ride when I can).  These tours run without the chase van and you pay for your own meals.  They include lodging, maps, route sheets and all the other details that make a great tour and a reduced price.  Give us a call.
