This new tour was designed with lots of flexibility and three full days to chose what you'd like to do. Your guide will ride the preferred loop on each day, you're welcome to join, ride on your own, or do what you like with your day in the mountains. We'll provide complete route sheets with our favorite stops, alternate routes and local events and activities for each area.
The first day is spent
riding the twisty route over to Winter Park where we'll spend
two nights. Our deluxe condos will delight you: step out the
patio door and listen to the sounds of Meadow Creek just a few
feet away, soak in the hot tub, go for a swim. On your free day
you may choose to ride Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mountain
Park with its spectacular vistas and high altitudes, ride up to
Steamboat Springs, or soak in the pools at Hot Sulphur Springs.
From Winter Park we'll ride over three mountain passes up to the historic mining town of Leadville, where you can check out the turn-of-the-century buildings, opera houses and saloons. Our lodging for two nights will be in Buena Vista, a small mountain town on the "Avenue of the Giants". On the free day you'll have the chance to ride over Independence Pass, check out the ghost town of Independence and explore the galleries of Aspen. Some of the best whitwater rafting in the country is nearby as are the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs.
South and west again over Monarch Pass and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison to the San Juan Mountains. Our lodging for two nights will be in Ouray, aptly titled "Little Switzerland". You can see the switchbacks of Red Mountain Pass and the "Million Dollar Highway" from your room. Of course, your free day will likely be riding one of the best highways in the world. Have lunch in Silverton and ride down to Durango if you like.
Then
we'll start working our way back across the mountains, spending
an evening in the old mining town of Fairplay at 10,000' altitude.
This is "Old Colorado" at its best. The last day of
the tour offers lots of high altitudes and mountain passes back
down to Longmont.
Our route and lodging are designed to provide you with the best motorcycle experience possible. You'll spend your evenings in small mountain towns with great local ambiance. The friendly people and quiet surroundings provide a good western feeling. Since meals are not provided on free days and the chase van stays at the lodge on those days, we can offer a price for this tour that is an especially good value.

Single prices are per person, double occupancy. If you prefer a private room, the lodging supplement is $280.00. Two singles may sign up as a couple and share a two-bed room.
