Freedom Tours 2008

In a time when the world seems in a turmoil, is a motorcycle vacation the right thing to do? A word about Cures: we all have "mental clutter" surrounding our lives, a successful vacation at least equalizes and hopefully overbalances to see you through. Cures come in many forms from the smell of the forest to the thin air of a high mountain pass, to the silence of a red rock canyon. We imagine the cures come at least one per minute on the passes, many more in miles of canyons, as many as you can take the desert. You always feel better after a day on your motorcycle, don't you? How about if the scenery and road were spectacular, and there were no worries about dinner?

Ask motorcyclists about their most memorable trip and they are likely to describe a vacation with friends who know the area. Whether the question is great backroads, unique restaurants and lodging or little-known facts that enhance your journey, you always have the best time traveling with friends who are on their home turf. The West is filled with a mystique that can not be explained, only experienced. Let us share with you the secrets learned from 30 years of riding in the area to provide the best travel adventure possible.

Day by Day

Each day begins with breakfast and a briefing on the day's ride. Maps illustrating the tour and alternate routes are provided the evening before. Lunch and lodging locations are marked along with historic and natural points of interest

Flexibility

You always have the Freedom to ride as you like. Follow the guide and enjoy the camaraderie of the group, stay and linger with the scenery, or take an alternate route. If you prefer to strike out on your own, we map your route and provide information on what to expect along the way.

Lodging

Always with the comforts you deserve and an atmosphere and surrounding that you don't expect, the selected lodging is a delightful mix ranging from luxury modern or historic hotels to rustic mountain cabins.

Dining

Carefully selected meal stops will delight you with local ambiance (we rarely use chain restaurants or hotels). You always make your choice of excellent local specialties from the entire menu, and enjoy savoring your meal while sharing the travel stories of your riding companions.

Pace The pace of all Freedom Tours is relaxed with frequent stops, usually covering about 200 miles a day. We make it a point to stop at the best vistas, discuss local significance, and encourage you to take time to enjoy all the wonders of this beautiful country. Our tours are designed to make sure there is always time to wander through old mine ruins or pueblos, enjoy a cold drink, or view the outstanding local art and crafts.

Support Vehicle

Every tour is accompanied by support vehicle to carry luggage and spare parts. If the need arises, the 5x8 trailer has the capacity to carry a motorcycle. We can also accommodate passengers and often use the van for taking our guests to dinner. On the road, it is in constant communication with the guide via C.B. radio and carries a cell phone. A cooler is kept full of ice and a 5 gallon water bottle is replinished nightly with purified water.

Custom Arrangements

Freedom Tours is always glad to assist with an individual request. Let us know if you have any need that requires special arrangements. We take care of the details. Taking the trip of your dreams will never be easier!

A Note from the Owner

Thank you for visiting Freedom Tours. We know that you have many choices of what to do on your motorcycle vacation. We appreciate the opportunity to make this holiday extraordinary.

I discovered the joy of backroad travel at an early age. Peering out the window of Dad's 1950 Buick as we explored every new road we could find was the beginning of a life-long passion. Thirty-five years of motorcycling in the Rocky Mountain Region has taught me to know, love, and respect our mountains and deserts.

We'll reveal our favorite roads and many secrets we've learned in the past to provide you with the best travel experience possible. We are pleased to share with you the exhilaration and beauty to be found along the twisty roads we call home.

Ride well.
