The names of such towns as Tombstone, Bisbee and Jerome rang like a crystal bell across the country during the 1880's. As gold, silver and copper were discovered, tent cities sprang up everywhere. Soon tents were replaced by wooden buildings, brick banks and opera houses. But even the best surface mines played out in just a few years. Thriving towns were abandoned overnight to the sagebrush and coyotes. Fortunately for us, many historic towns still exist and are connected by superb motorcycle roads!

Arizona is the land of almost continuous sunshine, with a dry warm climate and many varieties of cacti accenting the desert. Wooden grave markers whose epitaphs have been erased by time, lizards sunning themselves on warm rocks, blazing sunsets followed by peaceful evening skies, all combine to create a memorable desert experience. The alpine regions offer incredibly twisty roads over passes covered with aspen trees of yellow and orange against a backdrop of pines and rock cliffs.

For three nights of the tour you will enjoy the pleasure of a deluxe cabin in the mountains. The smell of pine in the air, logs burning in the fireplace, and a motorcycle parked outside waiting to take you on another adventure complete the relaxed western feeling. Other evenings are spent in B&Bs and standard or historic hotels, each with their own charm.

Additional days of touring are scheduled in Flagstaff and Tucson. From Flagstaff you will have the opportunity to visit many amazing natural wonders such as the Grand Canyon, Wupatki Indian Ruins, or Sunset Crater. You can cruise old Route 66, or visit the "Native People's" exhibit at the Museum of Northern Arizona that documents 12,000 years of human existence in the area. From Tucson you can choose to see the Saguaro National Monument, Sabino Canyon, or the Arizona Sonora Museum, voted the most unique in the US. For the motorheads, the Pima Air Museum and Air Force graveyard are nearby. We visit many historic towns along the tour where you'll enjoy the treasures found in unique trading posts, Indian ruins and Wild West towns.

This tour begins and ends in Phoenix. Motorcycles are available for rent or we'll help you ship yours. Early reservation will insure your choice of bikes and a space on this extraordinary tour.
