The Southwest has
a human story to tell. The lives of past societies can be
reconstructed when viewing dwellings, tools
and a myriad of artifacts left behind by ancient peoples. On the
Land of Enchantment tour you become a part of this land, riding
through the deep sandstone canyons of Jemez and across the high
desert and Sangro de Christo Mountains. This tour includes the
high alpine regions of Colorado, riding to New Mexico on the "Avenue
of the Giants" and returning over several high passes. You
will have a chance to ride the thousands of curves and absorb
the beautiful scenery only found two miles above sea level.
"Wherever we seemed to go on the tour the roads were a biking mecca. Dropping the gears as the bike leans from side to side, a grin splits from ear to ear. Then you develop this idiotic giggling, progressing into hysterical laughter as you crank the bike harder and faster up through the passes" Kevin Muggleton, Bike Magazine (England), April '98. entire article.
This
tour is planned around locations chosen for their cultural heritage
and superb motorcycle roads. You'll enjoy the opportunity to explore
ancient pueblos, Indian ruins and ghost towns, take in the color
of the local culture, enjoy marvelous shopping, or just lounge
by the pool and relax. You will discover firsthand why New Mexico
is called the "Land of Enchantment." Come ride with
us and experience the captivating splendor of this unique land.
The Jemes Mountains of New Mexico will delight
you with their twisty roads and forested terrain. One night will
be spent in Jemez Springs in a B&B by the river. From there
we ride over the Valle Grande - a great motorcycle road.
Sante Fe offers so much to see that we spend two full days there. The first can be spent riding "The Turquoise Trail", the other exploring the historic plaza or many other attractions. Our lodging is "Sante Fe Style" with unique adobe rooms, courtyards, and of course, hot tubs and pool.

We'll spend a night in the unique mountain town of Red River, on the road they call "The Enchanted Circle". The next morning we visit the outlaw town of Cimarron and ride the loop to Taos. From here it's the "High Road" through the pueblos to Sante Fe with stops at the Ortega Weavers and the Church at Chimayo.
Then we ride back up into the mountains of Colorado, riding the high passes and staying in small mountain towns with the true feeling of the old west. The Roads? SUPERB!
